Default I did it: ordered! (UPDATE = V200 status)

So happy! Have ordered a few cars in the past... But never a future member of the family quite the way a 911 is!

I guess this is my intro post, since I've lurked but not really taken steps towards ownership until now...

I'm a 37 y.o. VP Strategy within one of the larger business units of a Fortune 300 firm, been with them about 10 years. Love my job, started in sales and moved up via sales leadership. Married, one kid, live in Newport Beach. My wife is a psychotherapist with Kaiser, our son is 4

Started early with cars, my dad was a founding member of the Down East Region PCA and is its current president (I was born back east). We'd road rally before I could drive and he bought me my first Porsche soon after I had my license--a pristine early '85 944. That car took 2nd place at the 2000 Porsche Parade concourse

My daily drivers have included IS300, M Roadster, M3, as well as other much less cool cars....

Happy to part of the community--will be a long wait I'm sure, come here whenever I'm feeling anxious for the car the arrive!

Very excited about the GTS. The GTS was right at the top of my budget so perhaps not the most loaded order but don't feel bad for me, I feel blessed & can't stop smiling Here is the build (http://www.porsche-code.com/PGV2LBB2) and some neat pics I snagged from a Porsche promo video:
2016 GTS MT
White
Black leather (full)
Premium plus/14 way seats
Sport design wheel
Parking beepers front/rear

great config. It's not the options that make the car ...

Congrats, I know the feeling well... took me a while but a 911 was always in my plans. Since it has arrived it has been a delight to say the least.

Build looks nice, you certainly showed some restraint with the options which we all know is challenging. When does it lock and what is your estimated delivery?

Looks very nice. I find the reversing camera very helpful and, with a MT, I would consider the MFSW-it's very convenient for volume, phone and switching the multi function display.
I also have voice control on my car and it's "decent".
Congratulations!

A special congratulations on the MT.
You certainly broke the mould with that one.

Thanks for the love guys! I should have added I fully plan to drive this b!tch hard maybe I'll be the first 991 GTS to reach 250,000 miles. No garage queen here, my car's patron saint will be Walker's 277!

Re options--it was between a properly optioned S or this. I sacrificed things like Bose, aerocup kit, and b/u camera in order to reach for a GTS. And no regrets

Congrats on the order; the GTS will look amazing in white. Smart move stepping up to the GTS as opposed to more fully optioning out a S car. And congrats on the MT. My MT GTS will hopefully be arriving within the next month or so . . .

Congrats!! I really like GTS in white for the contrast of all the black components.

Nice - congratulations!

Now good luck with the wait.

I didn't notice how long you've been in Newport Beach, but hopefully you've discovered Ortega Hwy.
