Default 2014 991 3.4L Engine Cover Replacement?

I have a 2014 C2 3.4L. I had the oil changed for the first time, and I noticed there were some scratches on the metal "Carrera" and "3.4" plates that are on the engine cover (when you open the rear).

I tried cleaning them off and really scratched them good.

Does anyone know if these are replaceable parts? The plates themselves? Or does the entire engine cover top need to be replaced and comes with new plates?

Thanks,
Justin

My 911 had scratches on one of the logo plates from the factory. The dealership had to change the whole cover. It's just the plastic top piece the fans and other bits just unclip from it. I watched the tech do the change over, took less than 5 mins.

Default Thanks!

Yes, I'm able to remove the cover myself. Unclip from the fans etc. Did your new cover come with new metal plates on the top? How much did it cost?

If they scratched it, why don't you ask them to replace them instead of shelling out your own money. Their fault, they should pay.

I made it much much worse! Would rather just replace and not bother them. Only dealer in the region, don't want to **** them off for a small thing. Can't imagine its that expensive, mostly plastic.

It's "Porsche plastic", so I wouldn't want to bet that it's inexpensive. You might try Suncoast or Sunset Porsche to purchase. Both discount parts prices compared to local dealers.

You need to tell your SA that you bought a new cover, because of mishandling by the last mechanic.
Show him the reciept.
Ask that they be more carefull with your car next time.

There is no way that should have got scratched unless they threw it on the shop floor upside down.
They should know better.

Same with wheels, hub caps, center caps; always place face up, never face down.
