thoughts on adding Aerokit Spoiler to a Ducktail car?
All, I'm just not "feeling" the looks of the ducktail on my car. Frankly I never understood the fascination with ducktails. I've always been a spoiler kinda guy on Porsches. Anyway, could I add this 'Cup Aerokit Spoiler' from Suncoast to my car? Pros and cons?? Total cost with installation and paint? It is a PTS car (code 225) and is a 2015 C4S coupe with no sunroof. The car has the sport design package. Thanks!

I really like the look. It would probably be only $300 or so to get painted by a proper body shoppe. No idea on install
I considered it for a second as I saw the link, but I love the look of the naked duck

Something like this is all personal taste. Asking opinions is kinda pointless. Do you like it? Then do it.
I think the Aerokit looks overdone, but that's just me.

NoGa, very funny picture!
Regarding painting, it's going to cost a L O T more than $300 to have a quality paint job. Heck, a bumper cover costs about $500 for paint, and its a pretty simple shape. The Cup Aerokit is pretty complex in comparison.
But I'm sure this is not a cost-based-decision process for Parnelli. It's more about what he likes and what he wants. So try it out.
But I think when it's all said and done, you'll be all in for about $5,000 ($3 spoiler, $1.2 paint, $.8 dealership labor).
And then your COA won't match your car. Yes, I know it's reversible, but a keeper of a Viper Green car might have to keep these "mods" in check and give special consideration.

Not sure where you guys are that are quoting prices, but I use a shop here in NC that does excellent work at a fraction of the prices you're quoting. Did you actually pay these or are you just guessing.
I had the front and rear TechArt spoilers painted and installed for $700. I've had them repaint a front bumper, (after I stripped out the parts) for $350.

BTW, I am open to other suggestions on types of spoilers. I really don't know much about who manufactures these and what models they may offer. Here are pics of my car if this helps

Do what ever you will like, and know that you will never get full support on either aerobats or ducktails on this forum.
NoGABiker, I LOVE that photo! I have described the aerokit in it's current form as having a "belt and suspenders" look from certain views. Having said that, my new GTS has the aerokit, and I love it. Ya can't account for taste...
