Agree with Lex. Don't recommend modifying a rare PTS 'Viper Green' 991 C4S that already has the factory ducktail.

Keep it original. My dos centavos...for what it's worth.

That's a pretty sweet looking car! Love the viper green...very bold. I too have never been a huge ducktail guy - but truthfully I think it looks really great with that color. I don't know why, but it just works.
If you really don't like it, you could always go the other way and completely remove the duck for a standard retractable spoiler that comes up at speed. Not sure of the cost and reprogramming the computer...but just an idea if you had not thought of it...

My first Porsche was Viper Green!! Still love it 39 911's later! I am looking for a new one right now and it must have a duck tail or aero kit! Just love the look. I happen to like the duck tail as much as the aero kit spoiler so I wouldn't change.

I love my duck!

TechArt looks good too but I don't know if there is any aerodynamic issue with aerokit or sport design bumper ..

I didn't realize you were talking about THAT car. Keep it like it is! Looks great in Viper Green with the duck.

Thanks PDK1965. On this specific car, I am beginning to come to that conclusion too. I tend to overthink or overanalyze things too much I guess.

Parnelli, I suspect that obsessive personality traits are fairly common on this site. Just picked up my GTS in white this weekend (same dealer as yours), and had already purchased different floor mats, had the radiator mesh grills installed, and had seriously considered purchasing a ducktail and having it painted JUST IN CASE I didn't like the aerokit spoiler. This seems to be a sickness many of us posses.

Your car is really awesome. Not yet another white/silver/black/etc 911.

By the way, I looked into GT3's a year or two ago. Would LOVE to have one (especially an RS). But it doesn't work for my "needs". I need a back seat to drive my 7 and 11 yr old daughters around. Backseats would substantially help me justify the price of an expensive "fun" car. And I hear they are pretty tough to drive around local streets and busy traffic, which constitutes a large portion of my driving

I do too and its not just for looks of course, its been tested to function as well. Shape and size of airfoil etc. Thats just how I ordered my GTS. I like different and you don't see many with the Sport Design package, AKA duck tail, or the Aerokit cup package. The duck tail with the wing. I think it breaks the sloped back end up more, in a good way.
