Sweet! Looks like an identical build except for the PDK and the CLs. Thanks for the link . . . it's just making me even more excited for the GTS to arrive. Can't wait!

You know, although the build sheet says "instrument dials in carmine red," I'm pretty sure it's only the tach, which comes in carmine if you spec the GTS interior package in carmine. The other gauges should come in stock color. The weird thing is that on the configurator, it doesn't seem to give you a choice to spec the other gauges besides the tach in carmine red, only in guards red.

Ya, I think I've mentioned that I had also 'bought wrong' (in my case a F10 M5). But it took me 14 months of grousing before I got out of it. That's why I give you so much credit for moving quickly. And I know you're a real MT guy. None of the "I love MTs but drive in too much stop-and-go" crap. As I say, the clutch pedal is as natural to me as the accelerator or steering wheel. I know you get that.

That is correct. Just the tach is Carmine Red, other gauges are black. I actually like it that way. Initially, I thought it was a little strange that just one gauge was Carmine, but I like the look very much.

My 991 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet has been finished end of April 2015 and was ready for pickup (Germany) on May 8th. This car is a MY 2015 car.

Nice build. It's almost identical to my GTS Club Coupe.

I love the way Freeman's looks with he glass sunroof.

Congratulations!

Default My 2016 GTS

Congrats on your build. Mine is almost identical, but in Sapphire Blue. It is apparently being built in June and should be here in CA in August. Can't wait to shift again!

Thanks guys! I'm with you on counting down the days until I can row my own gears again! Congrats to you guys on your inbound cars as well. Mathfuzzy, I've been following your posts re: the GTS Club Coupe. Love that car. Awesome color, love the Fuchs with the car . . . it'll be epic.

Late to this party but wanted to give my $.02...

After my 997 GTS, my plan was to "step up" to a Turbo. Test drove one and realized speed isn't everything. The turbo is an amazing car but I am enjoying my 991 GTS and have no regrets. (Full disclosure: I do have PDK)

No shame in the PDK. What color? Anything about your order you would have done differently?

Very happy with my order. I can't think of anything I would do differently. I struggled with the ducktail and red interior but no regrets.

Don't want to hijack the thread...

Wanted to post a quick update. My car was on the Hoegh Pusan, which docked in Davisville on July 14th. Somehow, it made its way to the dealer this morning already (in Long Island). It actually arrived on the same transporter as my dad's built to spec Panamera GTS, which I think is pretty neat. Various commitments will keep me from picking up the car until next Monday, but my SA was kind enough to send me some pics of my new ride (including one of the newly installed clear side markers I had the dealer put on). More pics and reactions to follow next week!
