Is this considered low optioned? Would You buy it?
I found a 2014 991S with the following options:
022 - Instrument Dials in Black
031 - Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) with PASM sport suspension
0Q - White
250 - Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
450 - Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB)
640 - Sport Chrono Package
688 - HD Radio receiver
840 - SportDesign steering wheel
AJ - Black leather front seats
P05 - Sport Seats Plus
XRT - 20-inch SportTechno wheel
ZAB - Ornamental Porsche Crest
ZAC - No Sunroof
Sticker is $121930
It has been at the dealer for almost a year, and I think they really want to make a deal on it. I am thinking someone ordered it for a track toy and then backed out.
It does not really seem to be "low optioned" but it is missing some of the most common options like SAT or Bose radio, heated seats, etc.
Anyone want to chime in and offer an opinion? Would you buy it?

Is that considered a good enough price to not take it in the shorts when driving off the lot?
I know you lose money as soon as it is sold, but I have never bought a car that sat for so long and now is almost 1.5 model years old.
I was thinking even lower than that.

This one is just sitting on the lot and everytime I go in the SA seems to talk to me about it like they are interested in getting it gone.
Truth be told, my only hang up is the lack of heated / ventilated seats and the SAT radio. I have always built to spec and ordered my vehicles and have never purchased one sitting on a lot. Especially sitting for over a year.

No, Not really. I just don't want to offer more than I have to. If I were to order a 911S, all of my configurations come out to the 126-130 range. Similar car, leftover 2014, sticker of $123k at a local dealer. They were discounting to $113k, I offered $103k cash money and then said no. They were hard at $113k, which I had no interest in, as the car had options I'd never pay for.
And that car is still for sale on their lot.
OP, that car is a bit of a mix of high dollar options and base componentry. Odd IMO. No Bose/Burmeister, no adjustable seats, etc., but PDCC? If this car had a manual and only Sport PASM (no PDCC), I'd be asking you for the dealer's number.

I am thinking I could get it for under $100k, but don't want to take it in the shorts if I decide to order one in a few months when the .2 models come out.

As to your second question: it doesn't matter how well you buy it, you're going to take it in the shorts if you decide to trade it within a year. It's going to happen, regardless. They'll remember that car and how hard it was to sell the first time.
Only you can decide it you want to buy it. Don't get hung up on the price (yet), focus on those options that you aren't getting and decide how important they are to you. Then decide if you like the colors and if you want to pay for the options present that you don't want.
Then if you decide to buy it, and you don't want to pay more than 100, then offer them less. You can start at 99, or you can start at 95, it doesn't really matter (other than your technique) and you can simply tell them, hey, I'm not paying more than 99. Think about it, call me tomorrow.
There is a reason that it's been sitting for 18 months. It will be just as hard to sell used, when the time comes.
If you can wait, then order exactly what you want, nothing more, nothing less.
