Probably the minority,...but no! Had them on my 991 C2s, did not want or order on my GTS.
They are just "ventilated", not A/C cooled. Fan motors in the seats just attempt to push air from beneath the seats through the many, many tiny holes in the seats. You have to have the A/C running full blast and the car actually cooled down before they make a decent effect. By the time they made any difference to me, I was already at my destination.
The leather required to stand up to all the tiny holes is pretty stiff and doesn't have a very good feel IMO. All the little holes also attract dirt and not easy to clean.
Just wasn't at all worth it to me. Everyone is different.
I'm very glad I ordered ventilated seats and use them every day when the weather is nice. I've even used them in the winter when sitting in traffic in a heavy wool coat. Depends on your sweat factor I suppose but I'd personally recommend them.

Totally disagree. Have them in my black/black (no sunroof) Cayman S and they have an immediate effect on cooling me, way before the AC has a chance to cool down the interior of the car. And the difference with and without them on a warm day is very noticeable.

And that is why I said "Everyone is different".
I live in a hot climate (100 degree in summer normal) where it takes at least about 10 minutes of closed window driving for the interior to cool down a decent amount. The effectiveness of the ventilated seats depends explicitly on the interior temperature,....until it is cooled off all the seats do is "ventilate" warm air,....your sweaty body is the only thing that is telling you there is some sort of cooling effect.
The only setting that made any sort of minor difference for me was the highest, and again it took a good 10 to 15 minutes before I could really feel a minor benefit. With many of my trips being less than that, it was basically worthless most of the time.
