had no one else noticed that the PCM has the track app installed? no it doesn't but it does have a nifty sport display for the sport chrono

no sign of the 991.2 today... although there were a couple of 991s around during the industry pool lapping...

Congrats on the car, she is a beaut. So sorry about your dog, I am not looking forward to that day at all.

I have had my PDK for a year now, that is my only complaint. 45 MPH and it is in 7th at 1800 RPMS. When you are in Sport it is a little bit better.

I know seriously, did they hire someone from BMW to program the PDK... what
is a sports car doing in 7th gear at less than 100mph?

SPORT+ is the way the car should shift normally IMO ... and for the track you
MUST pop it into manual to avoid shifts when you least expect it!

It's all about the regs.

DFI motors have the lowest specific fuel consumption very low in the rev range and miles away from the revs where there's any torque. So, the PDK in Granny Mode is programmed for lowest fuel consumption.

As far as I'm concerned, the PDK should only have manual mode. That's what I use 90% of the time on my DSG'd DD, my wife's 981 (when she lets me drive it) and what I plan to use 90% of the time on my PDK which is ... about 10 days out.

And on that subject: how's the 'ring? This time next week I will already have been there

Where do I sign up for that exclusive league, Larry? I personally can't stand 'green' cars either. What's up with that? Must be a passing fad! I just got this PTS 'yellow' gt3:

I hope your exclusive club doesn't discriminate against folks with disabilities. For example, I am a little color blind...

Enjoy your ED, Larry! Sorry you could not adhere to your original vacation plans, but its understandable!

That green is acceptable, it really should be the "anti camouflage (aka boring) colors" club!

Ring was great ... car performed very well for a hairdressers car; I let SPORT+ shift for a lap then decided that I knew better since I knew where
I was, where I was going, and how ... it worked out much better for all
concerned, and I like the PDK in these circumstances ... PDK in normal
or even SPORT letting the car shift, its sad ...

Also, what's up with SPORT PASM ... unusable!

enjoy your ring trip ... its always worth it!

time for a bier or two after some fast laps

Car looks fantastic! Top down photos?

My day to day driving - press Sports button and flip to manual to then shift with paddles. Sports plus and manual when really going at it.

I should be more precise, PASM in SPORT mode (as opposed to SPORT PASM option, which is 10mm lower than PASM) is too stiff, certainly for the track (unless billiard table smooth) and is probably too stiff for the road as well
