Default Question on Side Markers

I switched out the side markers on my '15 C4S to clears today and they look great, just as I've experienced in the past when I did this to other 911s.

The salesman and I were having a conversation about he standard side markers, either factory or the clears and the LED markers that are on the Turbo and GTS models.

The LED markers lay much flatter to the body than the normal markers and we were wondering if you could actually order the LED markers and just swap and plug them into a standard car?

Looking for the answer.

Thanks.

Yes. The clear LEDs in amber can be bought by places like Sunset Porsche and BumperPlugs. About $100-130 for the set. Very nice. Adds 3.5 butt dyno HP.

according to the parts manager I talked to, the part number for the LED marker is assigned under "turbo" parts

Two types of European Clear Side Markers:

************************************************************************ **************************

The one to recommend is 'clearly' the LED one!

This is great news, I can order the clear led from sun coast and they will be plug and play on my 991 GTS.
Totally of subject but does anyone know why I can see the pictures you have posted when I am not logged in but cannot see them when I am logged in?

Right, I think Porsche designed the LED marker for Turbo only but we're buying them for our non Turbo 991s .

And at Turbo prices, naturally.

Can someone point me to how to switch the "plug and play" led side markers or explain to me a little how simple it is?

The LED headlight option includes LED side markers; so they are not Turbo specific parts - and will fit any 991.
