Tires
So I'm having a discussion with a couple friends that have Porsches. I asked them what there opinions were on Nitto Invo for tire replacement. They are about 800 shipped. They said absolutely not. They said that the only tire for the 991 is a Michelin. Those are 1500. Are these really worth double the amount?

There have been many tire discussions on tires but nitto has never come into the conversation. Do you really want to put lower rated tires on your porsche? Check the stats on the tires, if you are not going to expect the most out of your car, then put most anything on it, but gotta wonder why you bought a porsche to begin with.

Invos are junk.
Thanks for asking, before you put those on a 991.
I would not even put them on a Mustang.
You might look at the NT05 though.
They have 255-35-20 & 305-30-20 that will fit fine on 991 wheels.
They are not Y rated, or good in rain, but should otherwise match dry performance of PZero or PSS.
They might even perform a little bit better.

The Goodyears are OEM only for the 19's. My fronts lasted almost 40k with two sets of rears. Replaced the full set not long ago with Michelin SuperSports mostly because the Goodyears were back ordered everywhere. Biggest difference I notice is the Michelins are quieter and not just because they're new.

It is also important to know that while Porsche N-specification tires have been fine tuned to meet the specific performance needs of Porsche vehicles, the tire manufacturers may also build other tires featuring the same name, size and speed rating as the N-specification tires for non-Porsche applications. These tires may not be branded with the Porsche N-specification because they do not share the same internal construction and/or tread compound ingredients as the N-specification tires. Using tires that are not N-specific is not recommended and mixing them with other N-specification tires is not permissible.
What I want to know is when is Bridgestone going to get in the game?
