Looking for feedback from new targa owners please. Just turned in my 2013 991s coupe after a flawless 2 year romp. I already miss the 911 & have an allocation for a 2016 targa 4s. For those who own the new targa are you happy you chose that model? I might be just as happy w/ another glass roofed coupe but the targa seems to combine the best of a coupe & cab in one. Not interested in all out performance but a little more comfort instead. I appreciate all feedback. Thank you.

I've been highly pleased with mine. I use it as a DD, no intention of track time with it.
Car is just beautiful. PDK, PSE, AWD, and the targa suspension was "softened" a touch for it's weight and mission. All this suits me superbly. It is a highly confident winter/ foul weather car too. Wonderfully comfortable, far more than my 997 C4S Cab. 3.8 motor is a jewel.

I own a 991 targa 4. And let me tell you it's heaven! When the roof is closed it feels like a coup but with the huge windshield in the back you get a feeling of the openness ( English is not my first language
). It is my daily driver and the softer suspensions really help! It doesn't deal like other 991's that's a good and a bad thing! And it looks amazing! In the last Porsche gathering people flocked my car over the turbos and the turbos's! And also get the PSE, with the roof open and the windows rolled down it sounds and feels like heaven! It's not the fastest 911 but defiantly the sexiest!

I got one of the first 4S's - a 2014 - and its great and I agree with all of the prior comments. I drove it this winter with winter tire set, not deep snow, and had no problem. Had it out the other day but the potholes are so bad it was like an autocross.

I just picked my 4S up in January. Every time I go to my garage I can't help but smile because the car is absolutely gorgeous! But it isn't just a looker too, it has the performance to match - more than enough IMO that you would probably not miss your coupe. I call it the "jack of all trades" since, you're right, it offers the best of all worlds in one package (maintains coupe lines, option for real open top air, and AWD torque power). It also is one of the rarer cars so it has that head-turning factor: I've had other drivers in 991 and 997 coupes literally snap their necks gawking at my car!

Thank you for your input everyone! How about any issues with rattles or noise from the top? I don't expect pure silence but did anyone experience anything out of the ordinary? Also, what mph do you think is threshold for major wind noise. Thanks

Zero rattles, top is solid. Closed it seems like a coupe, with a great rear window.
Open top, wind buffeting is not problematic. Just a bit different from a cab.
This car draws a lot of compliments.

Ditto. Absolutely zero rattles or noise. It really does feel just like a coupe when the top is up. Love the protected feeling I get from the rollbar when open.
