Default PDCC Button vs Shock only Icon

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone new the difference between 991s Shock stiffness button.
My MY'13 with PDCC has the shock icon button only. A friends MY'15 has the button with the Shock icon and labeled PDCC.

Why?

Thanks,

Eric

Its so people with PDCC will know they have PDCC. Does not turn PDCC on or off (its always on) just lets you know its there.

They only started doing it recently. Earlier cars with PDCC have the shock icon.

Yes, it is a recent thing on newer models.

They needed to let owners know their money was well spent, and gave them a note on that button to show it off.
