This one appears to have an incorrect non-GTS engine cover.

Sold? I didn't have a good feeling about that car. It looked like it had some paintwork but clean carfax. Like mentioned above the engine cover was off.

That's the correct stock engine cover that comes with the SportDesign package right?

When Sport Design (or just ducktail) is ordered from the factory or installed afterwards by a dealer, the black GTS engine cover is replaced by the non-GTS engine cover. Porsche says this is required due to changes in airflow.

It has the correct engine cover.

Correct. That ducktail is what you are really paying for and it's a rare option and increases resale. I have one. Wow. That car was a screwup by Carvana but I would be somewhat scared of it. 7 owners and the last one kept it what...6 months? Then sold it to Carvana? Smokin' deal. Carmax and Carvana make mistakes. My Tesla Model X was priced as an X. Not the Performance that it is.

When you decode the vin with Manheim the 911's usually come up with "S/4S/GTS" as the model. Maybe they priced it as an S and moved on. That was a great buy for someone. Those big guys that just assembly line sales always misprice the funky cars not knowing what they are. We used to scoop up a lot of oddballs from them and make good resale profit.

This may be the lightest-optioned GTS I've ever seen, $126k MSRP, also does not appear to be CPO'd, which begs the question....is there something wrong with it that is preventing a CPO?

I wonder what Carvana paid the last owner, maybe last owner wasnt aware of what he had, doubtful, but Carvana wouldnt sell car for less than it paid.

It's ignorant to think that Carvana has never taken a loss on a car. I can assure you that they have.

Used cars dealers take hits on cars all the time. I used to have months where 1/2 the cars sold were priced thousands below what we paid (plus all the reconditioning and service that was put into it). You win some, you lose some. Maybe they had to pay all the money for the trade just to make the deal on the car they bought. Car business is not what it used to be, or what people think it is thanks to the internet. Great buys out there! Just have to find them. Problem nowadays is that price-shoppers don't realize that sometimes it's the cheapest for a reason, until a year later when you find out it's been hit by a Septa bus.
