GTS.....those hips.
Tough call, though. Depends how you plan to use the car. The Cayman is a stunning car. Dare I say the best looking Porsche now (excluding the 918 Spyder). The GT4 now just makes it very compelling from a performance standpoint.
Maybe buy the GT4 and put the extra +$20,000 into fuel, tires, and college education funds??

Depends on your planned usage. If it is a weekend/track car only the GT4 looks very compelling but its not a slam dunk... on the other hand if it is as a sole car/daily driver no question the GTS is the only option.
Ideally I'd have one of each...

Oh goody, another endless topic!
Me, I would go for the GTS. (Somebody pass Larry the smelling salts!) Partly because I prefer (relatively) understated elegance to boy-racer flamboyance, partly because of use that would include long road trips, and partly because hey, I'm a dyed in the wool 911 guy. (What everyone knows of course is what I would really go for is a Carrera S with the GTS options, so I don't even have to put up with GTS-level wanna-be racer look.) But if any of that were any different, if anything skewed even a little towards wanting a car that advertises to the world PERFORMANCE!!! then … GT4 in a heartbeat. It just seems like the better of the two in terms of pure sports car design and driving performance. If you could set aside all the history and emotions. Which … you can't…. therefore… endless thread….

^Chuck, the 991 platform has been out now for about 4 years. Are you going to finally drive one in 2015? 2016??

Well! I just received the call. My GT4 allocation finally came in. The dealer wants me to build right away. Problem is I had picked up a 911 GTS a couple of months ago. The car has barely seen the ash fault yet. Was thinking of trading her in on the GT4. I don't know what it is. Must be my age but I'm feeling compelled. Problem is I'm not liking the reviews enough so far. So I'm having mixed emotions. Will the Gt4 live up to the 911 legacy? In the interim I will be test driving a Cayman gts to see if it gets the groove on.
