Great thread. I actually told my wife yesterday that I enjoyed shopping for/building cars about as much as owing them. She got pale and said "you just bought a $173k turbo". I told her to relax, I'm keeping it for a while. Great car, but maybe could use an exhaust and better wheels. But she had just walked into my office as I was finishing a build on a Boxster GTS PTS 6 speed, etc.

It was a +$17 factory option. These things tend to cost more after the sale and through Tequipment. Labor is always more.

Definitely a better deal as a factory option but if you need to do performance upgrades after the fact... they do have after market options available that offer more hp and torque gains than a power kit and may even provide less weight in the process.
