Thanks!
Mine is on order, due in late March, early April.

Lots of pictures of Carmine Red all over net, just Google.

Ended up going with the same interior I believe you did, the GTS/Alcantara/Carmine Red Stitching.

On the flip side of that -- you won't be carrying a spare anyway (911 doesn't come with one since 2005), and if you get a flat in the boonies, what are the chances Hiram down at the Shell station has a 305/30-20 lying around to replace it with? And in a pinch he can plug it with it still mounted. But probably, with 5-lugs or CLs, you're going to have to wait for Porsche to send a flatbed.

Or you can spend about $600 and buy the tools for removing, and just carry them with you when travelling out of civilization. But you still won't have a tire.
I went with Carrera S wheels to also have the option of being able to go to an independent/tire shop for new tires. I checked with the place I usually go to and was told they do not have tools to handle the CL wheels. I'm also not a fan of black wheels.

As I'm not all that crazy about the Carrera S wheels, I'll probably get after-market wheels at some point and get the extra width back. I'd like to get rid of the spacers too.

As some others have stated, I would definitely get the sports suspension, SPASM. I have it on mine and the ride quality is still very good. The 991 rides much better than the 997 GTS I had with SPASM. Plus, the car looks much better with the extra 10mm of lowering. That is not much, but it makes a noticeable effect in appearance.

Quoted for truth. For better or for worse, it is a lot quieter and smoother, everything else being equal.

But I went back Monday and sat in a white Turbo S with this interior again, for another half hour, and realized I really do love it.

And, there's the fact I've wanted a silver/red 911 since seeing 550s in that combo at Monterey Historics in the mid-late-nineties. And I know a guy in our region who has a '98 C2S in Arctic/Red, and it is just to die for, even though I'm not such a fan of full red on them.

What about you -- what did you wind up with?

Very nice! Love the ducktail on the white.

How do you figure 6 weeks for delivery -- is that what it's running now?

We have a house at Sea Island, GA, which is right by the port of Brunswick, where Porsches come in. I wish I could just pick the dang thing up when it comes off the boat. But I know it will take them another week to get it up to Atlanta, if I'm lucky.

Thanks. Must be nice to watch Porsches arrive from your house.

My schedule is:
V300 Vehicle completion 03/06/2015
V332 Exit port Emden 03/20/2015
U006 Entry port San Diego 04/24/2015

Add some additional days from arriving in San Diego for the car to get to Northern California. The wildcard is labor at west coast ports.... hopefully the disputes are resolved before April.

Love your build. Few things I would change: skip the fugly park assist dots (-$900) all over the front & back of your new car (it's not a SUV) this will help justify the Burmeister upgrade (+ 2000) over the Bose blows system, add pasm sport suspension, 5 lugs instead of 1, map & smoking (free).02 T

What’s the difference between these two packages?

Premiere Package i.c.w. Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way
and
Premiere Package Plus i.c.w. Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way w/Alcantara)

I see that the second one - “Plus” - has the entry & drive options plus the Light Design package. I’d assumed it also had Alcantara while the first package didn’t.

However, in the descriptions for both packages, there’s this line: “Front seats covered in smooth-finish leather”.

So, what’s the difference? Alcantara in the back?

The configurator clearly states what each package includes, just click on the little exclamation mark. That said Premium/Premium Plus Package has nothing to do with the interior/leather/alcantara options... the packages are a set of options but do not impact the interior materials.

For me the general order of events is you select the interior material/color, then seats, then packages, then standalone exterior/interior options.
