When I was looking to purchase my first car as an adult (22 years old), I saw JC review the RX-8. And I went off and bought one. Now I'm buying my first serious car (991 GTS) and JC also seems to like it! We have come full circle lol

From a guy who has dropped a piano on a 911, shot it with a shotgun, run into brick walls, houses (and armco) and dropped one onto a burning trailer, this is a big improvement. Not sure where he gets off talking about how he's now so awesome a driver…

"the 911 doesn't suffer fools..." never a truer word spoken in jest...
JC is such a 911 hater...

That's as good as it gets coming from JC. Somehow I agree with him though- while I've enjoyed my 991's stay, I've never had an emotional connection with it like my other cars. I parallel park it without much care and never look back at it after I lock it.
I've come to realize it's not the 991's fault at all either. I like some theater in my cars and if that's what you're looking for there's better-fit cars out there.

Most of JC's "reviews" consist of him screaming about "power" while sliding the car sideways. I am a fan of the show, great entertainment, but his opinion carries no weight whatsoever. He seems to love every long-hooded, loud V8 that MB produces. Enough said.

Every once in a while, Mr. Clarkson steps outside the oh-so-entertaining character. I don't know how you could be much more flattering to the 911 than he was in his review of the then-new 997 Turbo.

I can't believe he's still on the list to get 911 press cars. That said, I do find his reviews entertaining - he is such a unique voice among the automotive press.

JC is quite fond of the 928, notwithstanding the recent events in Argentina!

The thing is I have always felt there were three types of people.
Those who loved 911's, those who hate 911's and those who buy cars that are whatever is the de Jour of the time (for exampe Tesla's.. )..
The 911 being rear engine is a very different drivers car and I think you love it or hate it.. (Sort of like readheads.. )
Interestingly enough, Jeremy hints at one of the reasons he has never been a fan of 911's.. He couldn't drive worth crap and was afraid of them
