Thanks, where have you seen this posted? I think it sounds different with PSE on than with Sport and PSE.

It's hard to believe a Porsche even ran out of ideas for things to charge extra for with the buttons. That's some valuable real estate right there!

I think you are referring to digital or steer-by-wire system that Infinity is working on. That is where servos actually move the steering rack based on sensor mounted to the wheel. If that was the case then the ratio can be infinitely changable and profiled. The 991 is still uses rack and pinion steering but, instead of using a hydraulic power assist driven by a pump on the engine, it is driven by an electric motor on the steering system.

After testing this a bit at night and realizing the rack ratio can't be changed (the ratio is varied based on its tooth spacing on the rack at amount the wheel has turned away from center, though), I think you are right about the effect of improved response.

I'm not sure which, but one of these has to be wrong. The button description says that ASR is disabled, but the "NOTE" says that it remains on.

This is very interesting. I am pretty sure, though, that in my non-S, non PSE 991 that when I press Sport (which I always do), the exhaust sounds louder/better.

ASR remains on so, I've edited my description. Thanks for bringing this up to my attention.

Does your PSE light go on at the same time you press Sport?

Ref PDK 7th gear in Sport mode. The car will go into 7th gear - my 991 did so over the weekend while I was on I-90. It doesn't shift up as early as when PDK is in Normal - but it will shift up. PDK will not shift up to 7th in Sport Plus.

^^^ spot on... You can't even get 7th in manual mode on PDK in sport+ but it's there in sport on the SC models...
