Default What do all those console buttons do?

There are so many 991 performance and safety enhancement systems designed by the Porsche engineers, it boggles the mind. After searching around, I'd discovered tons of separate posts but not one that covered them all. So, I've put together a comprehensive list of the features that are controlled by each of the center console buttons that may be useful as a sticky for reference purposes. Please provide comments and omissions and I will update.

-Steve

Both PDCC and dynamic motor mounts are always active. Like the other systems- throttle, PASM, etc- they are "on" but have a range of aggressiveness, responsiveness, whatever you want to call it. The ranges overlap a great deal. Nothing ever really "locks" it just goes to increasingly aggressive mapping.

Does steering ever change? News to me. I'm guessing this refers to effects of improved responsiveness of PDCC, PASM, PTV, etc.

I stand corrected on this point. They are always on call. It is the programmed threshold that is effected by these controls.

In the 991 Porsche Identity brochure (http://files3.porsche.com/filestore....3-001a64c55f5c), more direct steering is a benefit of PDCC, PASM etc, and not a change in the steering ratio, as you propose? If true then it should appear after the word "therefore". Right? ,

Thanks for the feedback,

One thing you can say about Porsche, you can set up your driving experience any which way you want it unlike some other companies that utilize preprogrammed driving modes.

Does anyone know if pushing the PSE without the Sport opens the Sound Symposer? My own aural impression is that it appears the Sound Symposer stays closed. But I can't rule out the more aggressive sound of sport setting being a result of the throttle mapping.

PSE on, SS also on. PSE off, SS off. You can be in Sport and turn off PSE too.

I think we need to see a larger version of your avatar trysixty - it appears as though your "search" function is highly effective!

I dont see why the steering ratio could not be changed esp since the change to hydro-electric

Is there a combination of options that will actually use "fill" all the buttons?

This is what the bottom symbol for that many options might look like :-).
