As an FYI, I've had many wheels powder coated over the years. On my old Cayenne GTS, I had a silver stripe done to give the wheel some definition. Same as the OEM painted look.
My powder coater, stipped them, powder coated them silver, taped off the edge, and shot black over the silver. Pulled tape off at the right time during the bake process.
3 different wheel sets here. Yes, was crazy for the black!

BTW, your current wheels look GREAT!

Wouldn't GT3 wheels fit? It works the other way round. The turbo S wheels fit the GT3.Though the GT3 wheels are F/R half an inch wider. That shouldn't be the issue, but the different offset probably will

Carrera S platinum wheels for Carrera 991 GTS4
I am in the process of ordering a 991 GTS4 coupe and also do not like black rims and read few positives on the single nut wheels, so am going 5 nuts.
Called "exclusive" in germany and they are investigating if I can change from the silver or black carrera S to the satin/platinum wheels. The exclusive guy also thought that having them available on C2S and C4S in US configuration should make sense to offer on GTS. fyi, read a journalist piece who said carrera S wheels on GTS come standard with the 5mm spacers to keep offset. I also asked exclusive guy and after research confirmed spacers to come standard if you go with the Carrera wheels. For the platinum wheels, they said they would get answer in January 2015, so if I remember I will post or you can call them also. The more we call, the more we might influence.
cheers

The Satin Mat Carrera S wheels, which I have on my Racing Yellow Cayman look really nice. I find that photos can be deceiving but in person they look really sharp.
Plus, I haven't heard any talk about brake dust! I'll be honest, that was a consideration when I was choosing my wheels. The OEM brake pads make a ridiculous amount of dust.
