I have never heard anyone talk about price with those HRE wheels but I know they must be expensive. They really are great looking wheels. Are they lighter than P stock wheels?? How much for a set of 4??
Jim
I tend to agree with the sentiment here on black wheels, however, there are certain cars that it just seems to "fit". Larry's car is an example.
For most people that want to shy away from the black trend, the charcoal wheels do very well. Personally, I HRE's gloss charcoal is one of my favorites and it is a standard color. The think you have to be careful with when going charcoal is the color of the car. Silvers are fine, but as you get to more of a charcoal car color (ie Meteor Grey and darker) you should consider something like a brushed finish or dark tinted brushed finish. My reasoning for this is because the charcoal wheel color will look like you tried to match it, but just missed.
The other trend we see picking back up is the good ol' clean silver powder coated wheels. Durable and very nice looking with most colors.
Of course I have HRE C109's with Brushed Tinted Red centers and a polished lip on a grey car, but don't judge
Also, if anyone is interested in refinishing OE wheels don't hesitate to give me a ring. Myself, Dave, or John will be happy to assist you. Let them know you are a Rennlist Member.

As an FYI, I've had many wheels powder coated over the years. On my old Cayenne GTS, I had a silver stripe done to give the wheel some definition. Same as the OEM painted look.
My powder coater, stipped them, powder coated them silver, taped off the edge, and shot black over the silver. Pulled tape off at the right time during the bake process.
3 different wheel sets here. Yes, was crazy for the black!
