Is there anything I need to do to the chip to prevent it from getting any bigger ?

Don't hit another rock in the exact same spot.

Dr Color Chip is a good product.

I won't get bigger unless the same spot gets hit which is 1/1,000,000 chance. Lex's odds seem better. Ha ha.

Post a pic and details

Get it fixed, and wrap it. Otherwise, get over it, because it will happen gain. My 991 C4S had plenty because I didon't want to wrap it. Wrapped my GT3.

You got to love the Dr Color Chip FAQ page:
Used as directed, most repairs will dramatically improve your vehicle’s overall appearance, especially at distances of 3’ or more.

My money's on "or more."

LOL, I have never used it but I am sure the "before and after" pictures are really reversed -- just another marketing ploy.

I've used it. The BEST touch up option out there next to a repaint.

This is a good solution too, take your time with whatever option you use.

I have used Langka. As a leveling agent, it does work, but like snowcar said, take your time. Patience is a virtue when doing paint repair. Lots of patience.

The only way to "fix" a paint chip is to repaint.

Touch up applications like the ones mentioned here merely cover up the blemish and make the chip less noticeable.

You can either live with it, put the proverbial lip stick on the pig, or buy a while new pig face.

Up to you.

Is it really necessary to take your time and be super methodical with dr color chip? All the videos make it seem like a 5 minute job.

It's easy. It's fast. Good prep is key ( dry, clean, wax free- swab with alcohol). For best results you need to be a little methodical. Practice on your wife's/GF/mother's car, then do the 911.
