Default Replacement tires for 991

I need to replace my tires on my 19 inch wheels. Had Goodyear F1 and got good tread life but meh wet weather traction. Tried to replace them but was told by my local dealer the were out of stock and my local and very reputable Radial Tire fitted me with Bridgestone RE070 A/S but in 235/35/19 and 295/30/19 and the look cartoonishly small in the already large wheel wells. The ride is a bit more jarring too.

Ant other recommendations for an A/S perhaps with a different width/Section combination?

Lots of people seem to like the Pirelli P Zero or Michelin Pilot for summer and Pirelli Sottozero Series II or Michelin Alpins for winter.

Correct, why go with the compromise in all conditions A/S tire vs the right tire for the right season? Porsche recommends the tires mentioned above for summer/winter for a reason.

To each their own but I will always get the correct tire for the time of the year... vs 'no season' tires.

All Season tires on a Porsche 991 are like taking a shower with your socks on.

WCE, I got 18k til I was through to the inner most threads, interestingly, the remainder of the tire was still not down to the wear bars, It was hard to tell they were so bad off because of where the wear was.

I have a feeling I am going back to the asyms F1

Such uneven wear as this indicates a poor match between car setup and use. With a lot of camber tires will wear evenly only if used with quite a bit of hard cornering. Hard cornering wears the outside fast which evens out with the camber wearing out the inside fast the rest of the time. If this is your situation then you'd be better off running less camber. Your car will feel the same or better, your tires will last longer, and you won't miss what you're not using.

I had extremity poor tire performance with the OEM P-Zero's on the C4S.

I bought the car with 2700 miles at 8500 the rears were worn evenly down to the wear indicators and the fronts were cupped to where you could feel vibration in the wheel and the inner edge was worn out.

After installation of the Michelin PS+ and an alignment, which uncovered the car had a good bit of negative camber, the new tires are wearing extremely well. I have 21000 on the car and the tires still have a bunch of tread left and that's including one track day.

Very happy with MPS+
