I wanted to thank Brett publicly for all the time and energy he expended gratis helping me with my aborted PTS order. Not only did he know I had an order placed with another dealer, but I live thousands of miles from his dealership, so he was clearly acting out of pure enthusiasm, interest and generosity.
So, THANKS, Brett!
I had called and we spoke about the BRG Boxster he had ordered and sold. He went out of his way to get me metal spray cards in this (21D) and and old (1970) BRG. It was extremely helpful to see the colors in hand. After much deliberation, we were going to order Brewster (22B), but being able to see both colors side by side was very reassuring in our now (sadly) moot selection process.
Kudos to Brett and Boo/Hiss to VW/PAG!
Its always great to hear stories like this. I think sometimes dealerships and car salesmen get a bad wrap (sometimes its justified) but its good to call out and send business to the good guys.
i think the dealers and dealerships that have a long term strategy and will help out a customer even if they think the customer will end up buying somewhere else will win in the end. Hopefully this post gets Brett some sales down the line.

I couldn't agree more. He was a true gentleman throughout the process and he clearly knows the cars.
Thank you for the kind words Keith! I am sorry the PTS window slammed shut on you but after seeing what you ordered I think you will be a happy camper! Thanks for reminding me it is another 5 months Larry........

... And Counting...
CF ashtrays ... leather key pouch ... Porsche(tm) "fuzzy dice" ... little cardboard pine tree air freshener ... where is the configurator when I need it most!
+1 Brett has put up with me for months ... and we still have 5 months to go before my GTS is delivered
You should have checked the $5000 TAS option during build Larry. Apparently the Time Accelerator System not only improves the relative 0-60 and reduces the dull PDK switching time but it also reduces the relative wait for new build.
In all seriousness it's great to read this kind of feedback about Brett - thanks Keadog - and I wonder if he'd like an ex-pat assignment to sunny UK when I'm ready for my next order...

Yeah its my own fault, I want to do ED on the car, and I want rid of the lease on my accursed X5 M-Sport xDrive 5.0 SAV (up in June) so I will just have to be patient!

Keith: Why don't you post photos of those 'British Racing Green' sprayed metal cards for our historical PTS records!

It's in the Eifel Mountains...part of the Rhenish Massif. You have been there enough times, Larry, to know that!
