LA auto show
Any ideas on what we will see in a few weeks in LA? Initially, there was a lot of buzz about the '991.2' being shown. Lately, that seems to have cooled off. Also, when exactly would any changes for MY 2016 be announced and/or shown? Thanks for any and all input. Wish I could be in LA for the show!

Dont know if you know about this, but there is a PCA breakfast event on the morning of the 21st.

looks as if something will be unveiled there ...
I expect to see the GTS variants - maybe even the Targa?
I will be there around noonish ...

During the Porsche world roadshow a month ago, i asked the instructor, a factory test driver, what his favourite 991 is. He answered the GT3 RS. He hastily added 'umm, if it it ever made...'. Maybe the time is near.

IF there's going to be a surprise, I'd say it's the GT3RS. My dealer is now starting to talk about the Cayman GT4, but I think it's still too soon for that. Then again, I've been wrong before. Many times.

I've done the Roadshow too, and I think it would be a little bizarre that one of those guys was also a factory test driver.

PCNA's stint at the LA Auto Show starts Wednesday evening 11/19 with a VIP event. I'll be there. They probably have press stuff even earlier. Anything that they're revealing will show up no later than the VIP event, so by Friday you'll already know everything about their exhibit. They've announced the Cayenne GTS will be there. I have every reason to expect the 991 GTS as well. There's been no real talk (only wishful thinking) about a Targa GTS and I don't think there's going to be one. There was no 997.2 GTS Targa, and so far they've followed their 997.2 script to the letter. IF there's going to be a surprise, I'd say it's the GT3RS. The driver leading our group did make it clear that he does endurance testing (if that is the correct term), doing extensive track driving, he is not directly involved in the development of cars.

Is this the "Big Reveal" that Porsche was talking about? If so, I'm a little disappointed http://autoweek.com/article/los-ange...t-la-auto-show
