I've had a C4S in carmine red on order since May, now its been moved back again till next year. Now my color is no longer very exclusive, but still will cost me $5500 even though its only $3250 on a GTS. C4S and GTS have the same body. I was told by the dealer the diff. in price is because my car will have 10 years paint warranty while the GTS paint only has a 5 year warranty. Does this sound right to any of you? Also, the pics. of this GTS look almost metallic, at least on my computer, please tell me its a solid color, as I ordered. When I saw C.R. on a Cayanne (sp?), it was a darker and a little more subdued red than G.R., and not metallic.
If I were you I would build a GTS spec'd the same way as your C4S is, it just maybe cheaper or really really close! But the dealer paint story sounds like a load of crap to me!

Yeah seriously, depending on how your C4S is optioned you may even save money by going with a GTS... as is at least $2k in savings on the paint alone.

I went from a well-optioned C4S Cab order to a GTS 2 Cab order. The GTS's sticker is about $5k less then the C4S (and the GTS has the power kit that the C4S did not!). I had a November build slot and December delivery for the C4S. I now have a November build slot and January delivery for the GTS.
