Default washed it

My slightly used (about 3,000 miles) 2014 C4S cabriolet arrived 10 days ago, and I have been driving it every chance I get. Yesterday I left it at home so my wife could take it out for the day.

It was pretty dirty when it arrived, after spending too much time on the truck. Anyway, I didn't have the correct stuff on hand to wash it when it got here, so I drove it dirty.

Well, I've finally washed it. Picture attached! Also included a screenshot of the options.

I have no idea why I waited this long to buy a Porsche...

Before I put it away for the winter I've scheduled a professional detail. I'm planning on a level I color correction followed by Opti-Coat, still figuring out if I'm doing a clear bra.

Great looking ride, black cars when clean are stunning. The 991 just looks so good in Cab form. That's a great build too, all the necessary goodies. Enjoy!

Two surprises so far:

1. I was on the fence about the Mahogany, but it looks good in person. Not overdone, like my friend's Lexus or my wife's old Toyota.

2. I am not crazy uptight about it. I thought I was going to be freakishly over-protective, but this car is fun and I'm going to enjoy it by driving it. I'm even letting my wife drive it, and she is pretty much a disaster when it comes to caring for cars.

I think that she is part of the majority of wives.

My advice is to clear bra it.

Beautiful car!

Congrats.

We have exactly the same car up until your power steering plus. And of course yours a nice cab and a 4. You'll love the opti coat.

Enjoy. Sorry you have to put it away for the winter.

I know I have broken the first Law of Rennlist, "Thou shalt always replace your orange side markers with clear", I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Actually, the orange markers don't really bother me...

I sort of like the orange side marker lights on the silver car I have coming. Gives a little contrasting bling as do the red S calipers to a silver car.
Of course I drove a school bus back in college so I am partial to orange on vehicles!

Cool Congrat's on a Beautiful 991!

That color choice looks very rich, and sporty at the same time.

If you can, post up a few more pics and the interior as well. I haven't seen any with the Mahogany trim...

That's because he waited until he could wash it with Irish Spring.
