What does actually happens when you turn on the "Sport Mode" on a base 991 non Sport Chrono equiped car? Anything?

Touchy e-throttle (which I could do without) and higher shift points with pdk. My BMW adds some artificial feeling weight to it's too light e-steering, but I don't notice this in the Porsche.

Engine mapping moves to quicker throttle response mode adding more punchy acceleration. PDK shift points come sooner. Net net, you go faster.

If you are leaving it in auto PDK the shift points are higher and it holds the lower gear longer. When I had my base with no chrono i would automatically press each and every time i hopped in the car. On the odd occasion I'd forget after about a mile the pedestrian nature of the car reminded me.

It should speed up throttle response - i.e. for each increment in pedal position, you get relatively greater opening of the throttle.
The easiest way to see what happens is (do this on an empty stretch of flat road) hold a steady speed in a lower gear, e.g. 30 mph in 2nd or 3rd, and do not alter the position of the gas pedal; now press the Sport button - the car should speed up a bit when you activate Sport mode, as the throttle opens more based on the position the gas pedal is fixed at.

You should see the idle tick up a bit too.

Sound symposer valve opens and the throttle is more sensitive. Auto start stop also turns off.

Yes I can hear it a bit louder and Auto Start/Stop is disable, as for more sensitive throttle...nothing...and I know how that should feel since I had sport chrono package in my 997 C2S and when the sport button was pressed definitely you could feel the difference...not on this 991 MT no chrono

Do you have PASM? It will go into the stiffer suspension mode if you do.

Your PSM will also be effected. You'll be able to get the back end to come around a little more before the traction control and throttle cut off kick in.

Also, the oil temp runs at about 230F in normal mode (for fuel efficiency) and about 200F in Sport mode.
