I'm interested in one of these with a euro delivery but before I spend the money I want to know;

- Is this a 1 or 2 year production? I don't need a car today and would prefer the last year...

- When can we confirm the 992 is going to be exclusively turbocharged

If the GTS is the last n/a 911 - I'm in with Euro delivery. Probably with a manual tranny.

While I'm not very big on the 991; I now have a 993 to play with and can recognize the end of an era when I see it. An end thanks to government regulation as opposed to an answer to a question Porsche owners were asking.

Also, the back end looks much better on the 2GTS version compared to the standard 2S. Those vents between the rear lights really finish that shelf area nicely.

This car is basically a 50th without the froo-froo **** and a much better pricetag to boot.

I'll guess one model year...

who knows, all depends when the 992 or 'facelift' is announced, clearly not at L.A so has to be next year launch...

Liking it!

Looks like the MSRP for the 911 Carrera GTS starts at $114,200.

It also has the sport design front apron that is a 3k option. And looks to have deviating stitching which is a plus.

Yeah, I just emailed my dealer that I'll most likely take the allocation they offered me after the 2nd PTS delay on my C4S. Would still like PTS but I'm a little gun-shy at this point since my September build has morphed into February. Dark Blue Metallic is lovely and, I feel, under ordered. Getting the GTS will hinge on being able to get the Espresso/Cognac two tone interior and 5 bolt wheels, though. Looks like we should know all the details pretty soon.

- wide 4S chassis
- X51 w/PSE & Sports Chrono
- PASM
- CL Wheels
- Sport Design front facia
- Sport Design mirrors
- matte exhaust tips
- PDLS 'smoked'
- Alacantara interior
- GTS engine cover
- ...

All we need now is it to post to the car configurator and/or release the order guide.

Hmmm, doesn't look any different than mine. Kind of disappointed. It's a 4s with sport design front end and black headlights with black tailpipes. Was hoping it would have a few more changes like the cayman GTS front end does. Seems to just be some package items grouped together for a little discount. I understand being excited for it if you don't already have a 991 but certainly not worth upgrading too. Just my 2 cents.

It's really growing on me ...

Gotta ask though: I really love the look of Alcantera but I noticed many seem to hate it. How come? Is it really hard to maintain or something?

Yeah I agree, I might not upgrade if I had a 991 with SD and X51 ... but if you dont ... its a nice package vs ala carte spec.

I'm not disappointed I always expected this to be a parts bin exercise with minimal incremental unique features ...
