I think it resets the steering and shift points to the clean car setting. Very noticeable on the recommended post wash water shake out drive.

This feature just keeps getting better and better! Now what would be really cool is if the PCM would let you lock into the 'clean car mode' permanently... maybe on the 2016's...

That is an $800 dollar option, PED Plus.

I don't get the attraction to Entry and Drive, Comfort Access, or whatever other names it goes by. The Cayenne loaner I've had with it couldn't make up its mind sometimes until you were right next to the car. You still have to turn "the key" to start and stop the car, you still have to push a button or the fob to lock it when you leave, I'm not seeing its advantage.

I like it for the simple fact that I don't have to dig keys out of my pocket. Just walk up and grab the handle and pull it open. And turning the fake key is pretty much the same as pushing a button like most of the other newer keyless start vehicles have..

The one thing it seems to be missing (as you pointed out) vs some other vehicles is that it doesn't have an autolock feature. Eg, wife's Lexus when you get out you just touch the handle after you close the door and it locks it up.

For 800 bucks I'll take one.
I hacked into Porsche R&D department and read the description of this upcoming feature: a new clearbra material that covers the entire car, that is actually a molecular vaporizer that atomizes any foreign matter that accumulates on it that day. Just push the 'clean' button before you pull her into the garage each night... poof! bright and shiny like new. Just don't be touching it when it goes off or you'll lose a few layers of skin...

Yes it does. Just press the black button on our door handle. Beep beep locked.

In my case, the only way I can get the frunk to open is to spray water on it. The soft touch open does not work.

We have never had a problem pushing on the crest as well.

We were told by the salesman to "press on either side of the Crest". Not sure why since the latch is directly under the Crest and requires less effort when used as a push-point.
The Porsche NA video instructs the owner to press below the crest.
