Can you get rid of PSP?
It seems most feel that you wouldn't be able to "upload" GT3 steering into a C2S.
Is there any way to reprogram the steering in a C2 to get rid of PSP?? It's just software - right?
Short of ordering one, every car I look at seems to have it.

You won't notice the difference. Mine has it and I've driven one without it and didn't notice any difference. It only works while going under 30 mph so it's not going to come into play while doing and real driving.

Plus one. I test drove cars both with and without when I bought new and didn't notice much if any difference. My lot car has it and my steering is fine.

Your car looks great by the way. Love the mirrors. Way to go.

Keeping the "R&D" argument out of this...
S models already have a valved exhaust with vacuum lines. So, move the valves, lines and add a button for 3k? Without a horsepower bump, it's shameless if you ask me.
I've had many P cars and have paid for PSE more than once, but only because I don't want to deal with aftermarket stuff, but never again.
It's bad enough we pay for features that are standard on most vehicles, but P's business model is pushing me further away every model year and with each subsequent model.
I had a 981 and 991 back to back, I was amazed and disgusted at the same time. Amazed how similar they were in SO many aspects, disgusted that the 991 was 40k more.

PSP adds a bit of extra convenience in tight parking situations and three-point turns. Other than that, if you don't have it, you won't miss it, and if you do have it, you won't mind it, unless obsessive nitpicking is a personal hobby.
If the extra cost bothers you, you can omit PSP from your order without feeling like you're missing anything important. I suspect Chuck is right, in that it's just a $300 '1' bit in an EEPROM somewhere. It falls into the category of Small Stuff.
