Thank you for posting your beautiful pics of the Swiss Alps, nothing like it in the world. Reminds me of the scene in the James Bond movie "Goldfinger" when 007 was following Goldfinger through the Swiss Alps in his DB5.

There's really no safe way to drive these cars to the limit on public roads, no matter how lightly patrolled by the popo; too much uncertainty as to what's around the next corner, beit a car, animal or even just loose gravel.
Take it to the track, or take it to an autocross. I'm constantly amazed how few Porsche owners autocross, despite it being cheap, accessible and as risk free as you can get- far less risk than turning a public street into your own little hill climb. See what events PCA and SCCA have in your area, and see if there are any indie clubs. Most clubs have events at least once a month.

Always gotta be somebody in these threads who's more Catholic than the Pope.

And autocross speeds are perfect for being right in the range of everyday driving situations drivers need to handle. The course is different each time. The combination of a different course each time, with walking the course, being able to study and talk about it with other drivers, being timed with time between runs to think about how to improve next time, then having to be 100% focused each run, all adds up to an experience far more valuable than lapping the same circuit over and over again at the track.
Spin out at the track? Flags wave, everybody slows to a crawl, you get sent to detention (hot pits) for interrogation (why'd you do that?) while they check your car (gawd I hope its okay) all while the clock keeps running on your precious track time you paid half a grand for.
Spin out at autocross? Woo hoo! Finish your run. Hope you do better next time!
And yet everyone thinks the track is the place to go. Go figure.

My favorite roads so far are Kolekole pass in Hawaii, and just about everywhere in the Thomas Jefferson national forest between WV and Va. I really enjoy going back home and driving the twisty mountain roads I grew up with a car finally worthy of them.
