Default 991 C2S Actual weight numbers

Howdy all, I'm typically a lurker but I had the car on corner scales this week setting up camber and alignment and I haven't seen many posts on actual weights so here goes.

Build:
2013 C2S
022 - Instrument Dials in Black
030 - PASM Sport Suspension
176 - Sport Exhaust System
423 - 20-inch Carrera S wheel
446 - Wheel center caps with colored Porsche Crest
487 - 7-speed Manual Transmission
603 - Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS)
640 - Sport Chrono Package
651 - Electric sunroof
672 - Navigation Module
840 - SportDesign steering wheel
911 - Model Designation "911"
AJ - Black leather front seats
EEH - Carbon interior package (for standard interior)
N0 - Agate Grey Metallic
P07 - Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way)
P37 - BOSE® Audio Package
P3G - Premium Package Plus with Adaptive Sport Seats Plus
X69 - Door entry guards in carbon
XAT – SportDesign package
XDH - Wheels painted Platinum (semi-gloss)
XEX - Bi-Xenon Headlights in Black incl. Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS)
XHM - Center console trim in Carbon
XXG - Clear glass tail lights

Car is completely stock aside from Pagid pads and OZ Leggera HLT's shod with AD-08R's. (wheels are actually a few pounds heaver than stock).

Approximately 8 gallons of fuel in the tank.

Without me in the car:

I'll just leave this here:

That's not bad, especially considering it's got a pretty good load of typical "luxury" options.

I think porsche lists it at 3075ish so you figure w/ the roof and those heavy 18way seats, youre right there. Not to bad considering other "sports cars" like the R8, Jag, and Vette.

To get dry weight, subtract 64 for the 8 gal of gas, 3099 dry. Porsche claims 3075 for the manual (3120 PDK) so pretty amazing you are where you are with all those options- including heavier wheels. Either another case of Porsche being conservative, or the door entry guards in carbon saved you 90 lbs.

Nice info. Thanks for sharing.

It really is quite astounding that the 991 911 is around 3100 lbs, with four seats.

Hello, Jag F-Type and C7 Vette ... Jenny Craig on line 1.

Pretty amazing. I expected more with all those options. I have a nearly identical setup. Does anyone know if there is a weight difference between the wheels: The S wheels, classic, vs turbo?

I'm pretty sure that a gallon of gas weighs ~6lbs, not 8? So it would be closer to 50 lbs...

Agreed, I was pretty shocked. Coming from an E92 M3 that weighed ~3680 _dry_ and ~3850 with me in it and half tank of gas, this is a nice surprise. A few less HP but 500+ lbs less weight is impressive.

Thanks guys. Good info. Just as an aside, the thing that sticks in my mind after watching Nick Murray's new BMW M4 video after he got rid of his troublesome 991 S coupe was his comment about how heavy the BMW felt compared to the Porsche! And this after BMW put that new M model on a strict diet and added carbon fiber roof, etc. Low weight is one of the most important 'dynamic' advantages of Porsche sports cars! I experienced it first hand with my '12 Boxster Spyder. And it's equally important on the new 991 chassis!

I have a C4S with PDCC and PDK, but otherwise similar options. With a FULL tank of gas, on a local weigh scale, subtracting my weight was 3,465lb.

I think that's pretty heavy, but Turbos would be even more....

Full tank and still 200 lbs lighter than a 918.

Great info--thanks! I'm also coming from an E9X M3, and I can definitely notice the 500-lb difference on track. My M3 was quite competent, especially with upgraded suspension, significant negative camber, a BBK with Pagid pads, an 18" square track wheel and R comp setup and catless exhaust/tune, but the 991S in basically stock form is a different animal. Much more nimble and responsive chassis-wise.

My M3 with the full Dinan exhaust and tune was at about 450hp, and it felt a bit more urgent on straights than the 991, but I'm as much as 10-15mph faster at the end of Watkins Glen's back straight in the 991, perhaps because I'm carrying more speed through the esses/corners on the approach to the straight. I need to look at my data to find out.

My PDK adds 75lbs or so over your MT, but my sunroof delete and OMP bucket seats probably more than make up for the added PDK weight. Nice to know I'm probably in the 3150lb-range.

I've also been using the AD08Rs. Let us know how you like them.
