Default Finally a member of this fine community!

I've been lurking here for several months, but this is my first post. I took delivery of my 2015 C4S last night, so I thought it was a great time to post, and say thank you for all the information this community provided regarding the many options available on these cars. My double-black C4S build has the X51, PDK, PDCC, sport design mirrors, steering wheel, and wheels, glass roof, and 18-way seats.

I've loved this car since 1986, when my dad was drooling over a red 944. I vividly remember walking over to a black 911 Carrera on the lot and saying "I like this one!" The trouble (and wait) for me was that at 6'6" I couldn't fit comfortably in the car. Then the 991 came out, and well, like I said, I took delivery yesterday.

Finally, many thanks to the guys at Hendrick Porsche here in Charlotte. I had a great buying experience, and valued the opinions of Richard over there significantly.

Now, back out to the road!

Congratulations ! Hope you have many-many happy miles of safe driving.

I am curious to hear about your choice of 4S as I am interested in a 4S myself.

Very nice..... More pictures.

So that's what the rear wiper looks like.

All the 991's I've seen have been wiperless.

A few responses to previous posters:

- Yep, went all out. I haven't owned a car in ten years (I just relocated from Manhattan to Charlotte) so I figured "Why not?" And I plan on getting every last ounce out of the car.

- Decided on the wiper and the four wheel drive as just-in-case options as this car will be my daily driver. There may not be much snow in Charlotte, but rain...

- X51 decision was based on my last vehicle (2003 Escalade). I passed on the factory-installed tuning option and regretted it for the two years I owned it. I didn't want to make the same mistake this time around as I am much too afraid to work on these cars. I don't know how it compares to other models, but hopefully will be able to do so after doing the DE in Birmingham. Planning a trip with a coworker and another friend at the moment.

Congrats on the awesome car as well as getting out of that dumpster that is NYC. You'll love your 991 4S in CLT. Take it to the blueridge parkway ASAP!
