Default "Launch Vehicle" on options list

Just wondering if there are any cons or pros to have the option "Launch Vehicle" on the options list.
I'm asking because it's on the list of options on a Carrera S I'm interested in.
When I Googled it one site said that some of the Launch Vehicle cars were used as demo's, while on another site it just said that it was one of the first vehicles produced of that particular new model, 991 in this case and generally had a rather long list of options.
What's the story here?

My 2012 C2S was a launch car and had plenty of options - hit all the right buttons for me. I recently bought it used - have only had it for a few weeks - but I have put 750 miles on it so far and dearly love it. I had two local dealers check it out and it had no issues.

The launch vehicles are highly optioned, not always with the options you want. For instance, the 991 launch vehicles had the multifunction steering wheel rather than the Sport design wheel. I don't think they are meant as demos but nothing precludes the dealer from using one as such.

launch vehicles were the first off the production line. usually well optioned and do not have an MRM value on them

porsche builds them and gives them to the dealer, hence you get cars with PCCB and 18 way seats

How many miles are on the car you are interested in ?
When did the warranty activate or has it started yet?
Lots of option are nice if the price is right.
I ask because each car has it own history.

I had seen quite a few of them popping up and had an assumption that the launch vehicles would have been the demo cars at the dealers. Guess that's not necessarily true?

My 2014 TTS was Launch Vehicle. Launch Vehicles are Dealer Configured, not Porsche Configured, and are intended to be Demonstrators, but Dealers can sell them when they hit the Dealership, which was the case with mine. My car was configured with all the options I wanted, same color, etc. Had a couple things like painted AC vents and side vinyl model stickers I would not have ordered, but nothing that was a deal breaker.

Whether yours was a used demo I cannot say, but a CarFax should have the mileage when it was first registered, which should answer the actual demo or not question.
