Any clue what color to sample this is?

As shown on the colour code on the older 911 shown, 114-9-1 is Signal Yellow and this does have a slight orange tinge. This specific code indicates the paint was intended to be dried in a paint booth, not air dried as that code from memory is 114-9-2 (I had a '72 this colour, then an '82 and '86 done paint to sample this colour. The paint that was supposed to be used when air drying actually had a very slight green tinge.

here's a '73 911 E targa that looks fairly consistent as well. i think it might be signal yellow as well

Looks like Hyundaid yellow more than the Classic 911.

A true color spectrum expert! Have seen one of those since Little Theodore in Miss Moneypenny's kindergarten class back in 1955! I didn't care much for Teddy, but Miss Moneypenny was real 'hot', as in 'orange' almost going into 'red'!
