Default PTS opinions

Standard disclosure . . . I know color is a very personal preference.

Now with that out of the way, I've found myself in a circumstance where I've got the flexibility to build a unique C2S Cab. I'm going to end up spending stupid money for a 2S, so in addition to being unique, I want something that I can keep for a number of years and not grow tired of the color.

I started with Brewster Green, a color that I love. But I think that greens are tough in general (unless it's a BRG Jag) and that Brewster is a color that I could come to dislike over time. Now I'm focusing on approved PTS reds, specifically Arena Red - a classic (timeless?) 911 color. What are your opinions of Arena? Is there another approved red that you prefer (and will not appear dated over time)?

I've attached what I think is the most current PTS list for reference.

If you want to spend stupid money, but want a color that you can live with for a long time consider skipping the PTS and do a color like GT Silver Metallic with red leather and a red top.

Add high dollar options like the PowerKit, PCCB, SD Front Bumper, PDCC, Deviated Stitching, Extra Leather, and painted exterior trim to remove the black plastic. Maybe even do a C4S Cab. Or Targa 4S.

Yes, Arena Red Metallic is a great color.

what are you thinking inside?
are you set on an interior color or would you just pick to complement the exterior?

The interior gets a bit more complicated, so I left it out of the OP. Bear with my admittedly convoluted logic . . .

Unless there's an exact color match with the body, I think that vert roofs should be black. So in my case, I'm thinking about an Arena/Black exterior. Now I love the Cognac interior, but with the Espresso and a two-tone exterior, it just all gets too busy for my tastes. So I'm thinking about a black interior with LTS Cognac seats and Cognac stitching (essentially a Cognac/Black interior to go with an Arena/Black exterior).

If I was in OC, I'd go with something like LexVan's suggestion, but to me, that look doesn't work as well in the northeast.

How close would PTS allow you to get to Brewster Green as that would work a lot better with cognac interior as i am not feeling cognac two tone with red exterior.

I could do Brewster, and it would look great with Cognac. I just worry about how Brewster will wear with time.

Arena Red, with Platinum Grey Full Leather, some carbon fiber in the cabin, and a black top would look great. Can you get Arena Red deviated stitching?

A LOT of 993 Turbos came Arena Red with Classic Grey Leather.

i don't think your logic is out. i think arena/black exterior would look great. i think doing a black/lts cognac is too stark of a contrast.

as you say color is VERY subjective, but I personally think those reds such as arena are very dated and dull ... reminds me of the 993 era which is the last time as I recall arena was a std color.

i'm a big fan of the red/platinum combo but i especially like the interior painted as well. again, i'm not sure that it would be a "timeless" look but then again, no car is. you could end up totalling it in a couple of years so get what you love now not what you think you'll like in 10 years? i think in any non-black interior i would for sure get as much leather as possible to eliminate the stark contrasting with the black plastic bits.

arena red was a std metallic in the 993 era, so there were a lot of them around

as with all std colors, they became "mehhh " when seen so often

the public will just see it as " rental car metallic burgundy " , IMO

if you are paying $ 5500 extra for a 991 PTS, don't get a color that looks like it could come on a new SUV from Kia , imo
