Yup. And like clockwork, the same old bores show up with the same old insecure comments. I will admit that I'm jealous of the considerable free time some users appear to have, though.

I'll bet you $5 ($6 Canadian) that in 5 years the MT will still be an available option on the 911 in the USA.

Aside from this bit of frustration, though, PDK is great on the track. It's funny...twenty years ago, many would buy a car with an automatic for the street for its convenience, and a manual for the track for its speed and control. Now, with dual-clutch and clutchless sequential manual gearboxes having shown their superiority in many race cars, a PDK would seem to be the choice for a track car, while a manual is chosen for a street car for a feeling of involvement and nostalgia.
The 991 PDK's ability on the track is the only reason i'm even looking at the new ones.

While the current 7 speed PDK g/box is manufactured so will its spin-off the 7MT. However Porsche might rethink MT if they develop a new PDK and sales for MT are so low that it won't be cost effective to design a modified manual version.

I'm more concerned if the flat 6 will survive. A 911 with a suck and blow 4 banger just won't be a 911 anymore.

Why would it stop, they can still push up the BHP by another 30 by including X51 for no cost and there is the hybrid and they shippedover 30,000 units last year - there is no other manufacturer that challenges them at that price point & volume.
