Yes I have sport chrono and rev matching kicks in, in sport plus. So I'm not in sport plus a lot specifically because of that. I think a few people are saying it best and I agree with them- this is probably the last manual 911 (unless I get an air cooled one) I'll have and in the grand scheme of things, that's OK. The PDK software in the GT3 will find it's way to the regular series cars in .2 or the next generation. So much to look forward too, I guess.

Rev matching only works in sports plus? I thought in sport as well.

LOL AnotherPDK\manual discussion. It's about time, since it's been at least 24 hours since the last one.

You don't know me.

I lived with PDK for a year in my Panamera S, didn't care for it. I'll get a manual in a sports car as long as it's available, as long as I'm physically able to use it.

I have spent some time in traffic and traffic jams with my mt 996 and 997. I never thought I would prefer an auto until the pdk came out. I am now glad I have it.

Correct. I don't know you but that makes no difference. Your car is a keeper because within 5 years MT will be gone. Makes no difference which is "better". Rennlist does not represent the average buyer. The average Rennlister is a real enthusiast. If even Rennlisters have mixed feeling you can be sure most prefer PDK (that doesn't mean its better). It means the market dictates and the market has spoken. Also, I'm not sure conclusions from a Panamera directly convert to 911. I feel for the MT guys but I don't see a lot of complaints on the Ferrari forums.

Hey Neil, my name is Chris - I think we both go to Porsche of the Main Line- not to go off topic, but did you go to the Macan Launch there? It was CRAZY! They have a video of it on their web site. I would attach it here but I'm technologically challenged.

actually, the Ferrari MT guys cried daily on their boards after the 458 came out 4 yrs ago ...then after a year....no further peeping as they moved on from grieving to discussing the coming Spider, then Speciale, etc.

same will happen here.....in the future, if you want a MT 911 , company PR flacks will just say, as in the case of the Prancing Horse brand, there are zillions of very nice pre-owned ones to chose from

Chuck - which steering wheel did you get to go with PDK on your 991?

I've never been fortunate enough to drive a Ferrari, but you rarely find great reviews on the actual MT of Ferraris. It may be why it's also not missed so much. Still, I think it would be awesome to have a MT Ferrari.
On the other hand, the MT of a 911 is amazing.

you should try one ...with their shifter clanking through the visible gates, it's a neat old school sensation
