My sales guy told me Porsche would not cover micro-cracking (crazing) if I had PPF put on my headlights.
At least 20% of Porsche headlights craze like that if PPF is applied, according to my sales guy.
He said too many installers use too much heat when applying PPF, so Porsche will not warranty them with PPF applied...

Xpel actually warns installers not to use their product on 991.1 headlights. I don't know on 991.2 Mine cracked on my 2015 GTS and they didn't have film. I got Porsche to replace them, but the car was still under factory warranty at the time.

Unfortunately they are all crap. My 991.2 didn't get cracked though but on 991.1, I had 2 replacements breaking

But had issues with my cayenne 2022, 991.1, and porsche wasn't helpful at all, even during warranty that I told them to F off and sold all my porsche cars. Never looked back. I'm a happy Ferrari owner with several cars from them and a top notch service

Default What is this?

Evening Forum,

I stumbled over this thread and have something strange happening to my left headlight.
not exactly sure what that is - bought the car (2018 C2, CPO) a few months ago and recently saw this.
Any ideas?
thanks,
otto
