Default AWE SwitchPath Exhaust

Searching for the right exhaust, anyone with good or bad experiences with installing and running the AWE Switchpath exhaust? Thanks

Installation is a breeze, no need to remove the rear bumper cover. I was able to put a Switchpath in my car in 90 minutes once on the jacks using common hand tools.

I did find it too loud for my tastes, however - and took advantage of their 'satisfaction guaranteed' policy and returned it after just 50 miles on the car. On any aftermarket pipe that deletes the center muffler entirely, they are going to be considerably louder. I have a new Tubi exhaust in my garage right now waiting to go on the car.

I have it and love it. Check my Journal for my write-up, install, and videos.

I got AWE switchpath installed on my 991 3.4L C2 non-pse. I'm using stock side mufflers, my installer fabricated the outlet pipes of the stock side mufflers since it doesnt match the quad exhaust tips.

I get very loud drone when valves open up (3.5k -4.5k rpm), which is quite annoying.
My idle now is at 610-670rpm and also is rougher(more vibrations), specially after cold start. Switching to sport mode ups the idle rpm and makes it smoother.

Do you guys have this issue?

I also have the non PSE version and don't think it drones too badly. Of course there will be drone at RPMS where valves open but since cruising RPMs are lower and valves are closed, I don't get really any drone.

Startup is loud and stays loud for a little longer than I would like but that is a Porsche design not AWE. There shouldn't be any added vibrations if installed properly.

It might be noteworthy that mine is a C4S so I am not sure how that'll differ from the base. I did the install myself and everything seems to be perfect (in regards to how it was designed to operate).

There are much better options with better workmanship. My first choice is Akrapovic, then iPE Innotech.

I dont have any drone either, but I'm a 3.8L. I also had some vibration at low RPM, but after re-torquing all the bolts it went away. Re-torquing has solved the vibration for many folks, give it a shot.

What's wrong with AWE's workmanship? Have you seen their factory, the process, and technology they use? It's pretty incredible. Check it: https://rennlist.com/forums/991/9281...nt-thread.html

I have one, would definitely recommend! If you want to scare the **** out of everyone in a 5 mile radius, be sure to add a set of catless headers!

3x the price though....love both of those companies' work, but the AWE is pretty great IMO

No comparison with the two options I mentioned. Besides I am talking about a full exhaust.

AWE and iPE. I know which one I would choose.
