I like it, I would probably have also combined it with some other interior painted to exterior ... I would not cover the seat backs with leather, now THAT is a total waste of money IMO.

For those that have not seen Larry's 'Mexico Blue' .2 997 gt3, here is a photo of it from my collection.

PS To his credit, Larry did not specced this car, it was the dealer. I happen to love leather everywhere...unless I can substitute for it 'Alcantara'!

Paint or leather, either way its better than the standard "grey" on the hard backs......

Are there pics that show the seats in their normal, not folded position? "Pic 2" and "Pic 3" didn't show up for me. It is hard to judge how they look in the context of the car, when based only on closeup of seat backs alone.

Mine have the standard grey on the backs that are scratched. I would think that the painted backs would be more subject to damage if you use the seats at all. I think leather is a better idea. And I can't find the touch up paint code.

Call or go to Dr. Color Chip's web site. They list cars by the year and model, and list the codes.

Another option, can't recall if it is factory or not, is Carbon Fiber seat backs. I saw a 997.2 with CF backs, other CF bits that looked factory last year when I was in the market. I think that looked awesome, but man, I shudder to think what THAT option would cost!

I like it. Reminds me of the 993 Sport seats with painted backs. I think the RS in Europe was color matched. If I'm not mistaken. As always, I wold put the money into performance options instead. If it was a choice.

Not yet for the USA 991. I think the GT3 crowd wants these too. At least $6,000.

That they do (the GT3 boys).

Some of them will delay their build in order to try to get those babies.

I'm just waiting until the motor situation is 100% resolved and pick up a 2014.

The latest version of the 911 is the pinnacle of "options" for a P car. I say have at it. If you want a painted key and seat backs go for it!
