Good remark. Clearly so much of the automotive purchase decision arises out vicariousness. That a TTS will out accelerate a GT-R or has a faster ring time vastly influences buying decisions even though these are meaningless data points IRL.

That PDK is quicker than an MT is compelling in this perspective.

Lines blur at different points for many on the man vs. machine control of the driving experience.

Lately, I've started turning off the PSM as soon as I start my car - a small middle-finger to technology.

This has been a wonderful revelation. It's amazing how much fun can be had sliding the car around a bit, even at low speeds.

Reminds me of the pre-computer nanny days driving my 3.2 G50 Carrera - yet so much more fun with all the extra HP these days.

I have had no problems with my PDK.
Good luck

One word from the video says it all, "nostalgic."

The only thing wrong with that build is the music.

I think that car looks pretty amazing. It would be very interesting to see how it stacks up against the GTS....

I've seen the Pfaff car in person and it looks awesome. No expenses spared on this one, beautiful. They are selling it though.... over $160k CAD which is higher than the starting price of a GT3 in Canada.

Better off with a 7MT GTS.

Very little lost over this tuner creation plus you get the Porsche OEM warranty.

A new MY2015 GTS with MT starts at what in Canada? Maybe $130k? And Pfaff is asking $165k for their modded (and used) MY2014 C2S with X51? Sorry, no way it's even close to being worth the difference.

I bought an Carrera S with the Powerkit and PDK as I couldn´t get the GT3 and after a month of driving it, I´m really fed up with the PDK. It´s terrible, the clutch slides when pulling from a standstill and gearbox downshifts in all the wrong places. The car is great otherwise but considering of trading the current to a similar MT and doing the upgrades that the company did.

So, would be really thankful if anyone could send me in the right direction

I can see how somebody would prefer the manual over the PDK, but to say that the PDK is terrible is borderline retarded. Clutch does't slide in the turbo and that with a lot more power and torque, in fact, I'm not quite sure what you even mean. You can also avoid the computer form downshifting "in the wrong places" by putting it into manual mode and doing it yourself - probably good practice if you consider a manual transmission. Seriously, I understand people who prefer stick, but the arguments against the PDK you present make no sense.

Yeah agreed, my 2015 GTS has significantly more options and is coming in well under the price for that used 2014 C2S... that is a major premium to pay for the Techart body kit/exhaust, roll cage, suspension, and Forgeline wheels.

I think its also worth pointing out that the mods to the car are "easily" replicated, after all it starts as a 7MT X51 C2S ... then they add Bilsteins forgelines trofeos and a techart aerokit + exhaust.

probably cheaper to buy a GTS 7MT .... retrofitting an X51 is an expensive way to go better to get it done at the factory.
