I am a lifelong Porsche enthusiast, and my 'car guy' faith was shaken today. My DD is a 2012 Cayenne Turbo, which I absolutely love. I will also be ordering a 2016 991.2 Turbo S cab next year. I was driving home this morning, and I saw a guy in a blue 991 C4S cab coming up behind me. As he passed me, I gave him a smile and a thumbs up. He in turn, smirked and gave me a thumbs down!!?? Now, I understand that there are those who do not think that a Cayenne/Panamera are 'true' Porsches, but that is still a real schmuck move. Real car guys still can appreciate that we all have different tastes and opinions, but we all still love cars. No need to be an a-hole. Needed to vent. Can't wait to see him again in my Turbo S cab!! A-hole.

You know you own a Porsche when she has her own laundry hamper for all her colorful microfiber towels

The guy was a douchebag. Move on. You're better than that to let this get under your skin.

Two monks were making a pilgrimage to venerate the relics of a great Saint. During the course of their journey, they came to a river where they met a beautiful young woman -- an apparently worldly creature, dressed in expensive finery and with her hair done up in the latest fashion. She was afraid of the current and afraid of ruining her lovely clothing, so asked the brothers if they might carry her across the river.
The younger and more exacting of the brothers was offended at the very idea and turned away with an attitude of disgust. The older brother didn't hesitate, and quickly picked the woman up on his shoulders, carried her across the river, and set her down on the other side. She thanked him and went on her way, and the brother waded back through the waters.
The monks resumed their walk, the older one in perfect equanimity and enjoying the beautiful countryside, while the younger one grew more and more brooding and distracted, so much so that he could keep his silence no longer and suddenly burst out, "Brother, we are taught to avoid contact with women, and there you were, not just touching a woman, but carrying her on your shoulders!"
The older monk looked at the younger with a loving, pitiful smile and said, "Brother, I set her down on the other side of the river; you are still carrying her."

You need to "pay it forward".
Next time you see a Boxster, give him a sneer and a thumbs down. It will transfer the negativity to him, and you will feel like a million bucks.
Then, he needs to find a 944. This goes on ad nauseam until the very last person finds a Prius driver. The Prius guy's only hope is to pray that somehow, somewhere, there is still a Yugo on the road.

What that twit doesn't appreciate is that the very existence of his 991 is due to the strong sales of Cayennes and Panameras that have kept Porsche viable!
BTW, your Cayenne Turbo is an awesome DD; I hope you enjoy your Turbo S Cab when it arrives.
