Default WTF, where's my speed limit display?

Took the car in for warranty service this week and got an instrument display update I didn't ask for. Now the posted speed limit display is gone. Any suggestions?

Just go into your vehicle scope menu settings and adjust it, and add it on back on.

Thanks. It used to show up in the mult-function instrument display. Will that still work or will I only see it on the PCM display?

I had that update done at the dealer and they totally messed up my display settings. I had to go back and add all the lines I wanted to the Vehicle Display screen on the multi-function. They also reset my clock to the 12-hour display (I use 24). A little annoying, but a few minutes reconfiguring was all it took to get it all back.

Are you also no longer to deactivate daytime running lights?

Figures the one update the dealer offers to do, is the one we would rather not have.
Can it be reversed?

What is the instrument update supposed to fix anyway? No issues as far as I can tell.

I'm scheduled for my first year service this week and they said that's the only update needed (5/2013 build).

I believe it fixes an issue with improper service required warnings.

Some are saying it fixes the water temp at 195.
I would hate to think Porsche would do something that lame.

Don't worry, they didn't fix it at 195.

It's 194. :-)

If you save all your settings on the key you use and then send it for a service with the other key - won't that stop unwanted display changes?

The functionality depends whether you have the speed limit detector... This is how it works if you have it... You can see the speed limit in the main MFD by cycling through the MFD display screens... It is the last display after G force and Adaptive cruise control. you can also choose to display it in the upper line of the MFD permanently by going into vehicle > settings > display > upper line ....and ticking the box.
It will also appear in the 'car' screen on the PCM
If you dont have the detector then i believe there are static limits stored in the sat nav but i dont know how these are displayed... Sorry
