New 991 or used Turbo?

Don't know if I could disagree more with the above statement. Have had 4 generations of 911's including 4 turbos and have had a PDK car, and have driven mt cars for over 40 years and I can't find anything I don't like about the 991 4S MT I'm driving now. No I cannot shift my MT in one -one thousandth of a second like PDK but I also haven't been in too many situations driving where that difference was life altering. I'm not criticizing PDK at all and if that one is anyone's preference I'm glad Porsche makes it available.
As far as the OP. You can't make a bad decision, you're buying a Porsche. Most peoples dream car only. Pick the one you enjoy over the long haul. Good luck with your choice.

I have a 991 c4s PDK and thought seriously about upgrading to the turbo. Although the acceleration and handling is incredible on the turbo, I found the 4 wheel steering to be a bit freaky and the overall feel of the car was a bit more numb. In the end, I have enough trouble with law enforcement in my current vehicle and figure you can't really have much more fun with the turbo on public roads without losing your license. If you plan on tracking the car, go for it. It'll make you a much more capable driver than you are and inspire a lot of confidence.

I don't agree with Duxsi. The dual clutch is superior at the track so the GT3 has the PDK, that is reprogrammed with different paddle operation. Porsche well knows that there is a substantial, though shrinking, group of Porsche buyers that want a manual shifter. It would be pointless in my opinion for them to delete it. I do believe that when you go to sell or trade your 991 that the PDK will appeal to a greater number of buyers and that will be reflected in the sale price.

I put 5k miles on my 6MT 997TT in 2.5 yrs of ownership. PITA as a commuter. I have put 3500 miles on my C4S PDK in 4 months. Except for Cayennes, this is my first non-manual transmission Porsche in 28 years and many different Pcars. Draw your own conclusions.
Edit: Apologies for the tangential comment above. What I was trying to convey is: The 991 is a FAR SUPERIOR platform compared to the 997. Additionally, my PDK C4S is faster in real world driving than my 997TT was but that is another conversation.
