Anyone lease a Targa yet?
Dealer quoted me around $2800 / month all-in on a 4s, which comes out to US$2554. Sounds kinda steep, what are others paying?

36 months
Cash price: $145k + 13% tax
$2500 down

13% = 18,850 which gives a total of $163,850. Since residual is probably around 70, you're financing nearly $100K over three years, so that number actually makes sense.
Maybe you should buy a cheaper car?

I can afford it, I just want to know if the numbers sound right.

The reason that residual is so low is the MRM on your Targa 4 or 4S - base & options! The following is a quote I noticed & marked at an Edmunds leasing forum:
"The problem you'll run into with any Porsche lease is they all have a maximum residual amount (MRM) that varies by model. If your MSRP exceeds that amount, the lease price skyrockets."
Last year I heard that MRM on a C2S was approx. US$125K. It will be slightly higher on a 4 or 4S Targa...but I don't know by how much. On the other hand, some base 991 Carrera 2's have residuals in excess of 70%!

As Eduardo intimated above edmunds townhall forum is a great source of info and for asking lease questions on residuals etc.

That math makes some sense. In my opinion 20k (ish) of options on a 991 allows you "cover all of your bases". Anything past that and you start to get into territory that would be considered taste specific and not items good for resale to a wide audience. Anything past that 20k mark and the bank is letting you take the risk.
