Bump. A friend has a 991.2 Targa, can anyone confirm that the mirror tap connection is applicable in a Targa as well?

Anyone do the mirrortap on a 2012 991.1 C2S?

Just purchased a Uniden R7… 12v connector doesn’t fit well so planning to do the mirror tap. Always a little nervous touching electronics in cars… but will give it a try.

I havent purchased the tap yet but did remove the overhead cover and noted the connector at right is all yellow, not the yellow/blue as in the first post.

Attached is a picture.

Would appreciate if someone can confirm if the all yellow connector is the correct one and if I should tap the right side of it as follows: red to blue and black to brown (not tapping the center wire).
