i think you made a good call. it can be pretty easy to overdo it and that could put it over the edge.

As you can see below, this poor soul didn't order 'Extended Interior Package, Dashboard Trim in Leather' in his otherwise nice automobile and now he is so depressed he's sitting at the edge...and this thread could tip him over!

Just the opposite. There is no such thing as too much deviating stitching! ![evilgrin](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/evilgrin.gif)

i don't like how porsche doesn't offer you the full gamut of thread options.
its not clear as to what can be deviated and what can't and if you don't have the option of "everything deviated" i'm uncomfortable picking whatever is out there for fear of it looking odd.

Everything can be, my dealor worked so much with me to find out everything! All it takes is a great consultant!!!! Kudos to him!!! He found pictured and many things for me to look at! I choose black stitching on the leather dash upgrade to include the speakers and clock in leather and black stitching! I also choose the steering column in black stitching as well as the leather vents to remain black stitching, and finally the rear speakers on leather but with black stitching.

I choose the speakers to be covered in leather but no deviated stitching cuz I didn't want the speakers to say hey look at me!! I also choose not to have the seatbelt exits in leather also so they wouldn't wear out from use! Not that the back will be used much but I didn't do the fronts wither cuz of that reason

Top of dash in the stitching, chose the leather option for the speakers and stop watch but black stitching again for the same reason I didn't want it to stand out look at me!!
