What does everyone think of this? First Porsche, doubt I need an S but thought I'd go ahead and go all the way.
Main other questions are Black v. Basalt Black and why the configuration seems to have two charges for Power Seats.

Nice build. I'd suggest you get the sports chrono clock in white to match dials. I have the black/beige interior. Wish I got deviated carpet black. The standard carpet is beige - a little harder to keep clean.

The $2330 charge is for the premium plus package and the $2320 charge is for the seats themselves. Get the deviated carpet option 24951 for $710. The standard black is non metallic whereas Basalt is metallic.

Thumbs up, especially sport exhaust. (I configured a 991 targa myself...about 20 different ways...)

Great ideas on floor and sport chrono display. Does anyone know if back seats will be more like coupe or cabriolet?
Also, should I expect to pay full MSRP on a factory order?
Thanks for all the help.

Nice built, how about opting the SportDesign Steering wheel with the PDK? It'd be more intuitive to use two paddles vs. the standard buttons (unless opt the MF steering wheel).

What are your plans for the car? Sunday driver? DD? Multi-day trips? Concours? Autocross? Pick up hot chicks? Or just your general wanted a fast car turned out to be a Porsche? We got 'em all covered. Yes even the hot chicks! Plus hauling mountain bikes and kayaks, groceries and kids. Pick one from column A, two from column B...

Definitely going sport design steering wheel also, totally forgot that.
Considered going non-S but this is my first sports car so figure I would go all the way. Welcome any thoughts on that.

Go for it. Even though I get the impression a 991 is way more car than you need or ever will use, what always seems to be the biggest factor in enjoyment is off-idle torque, because that's where you'll be all the time, and which you get a lot more of with the S. With PDK of course you just move your foot and as fast as you can move it the car is in gear and going, but that's a new habit, which also depends on which mode you're in, which is another new habit, so it all keeps coming back to low end grunt, and you get the S.
The Sport Design wheel is my favorite, especially with the Targa. I hope you know that simply by choosing a Targa you are going to be driving a very rare automobile.

I've liked the Sport Design wheels a lot but the Targa brochure with the Classics seemed to work perfect. I'm on the fence still on this one.

HeightsHorn, you've got a great build! Definitely go for the S. You'll appreciate the low end grunt and also bear in mind the Targa is a heavy car, so you'll appreciate the additional 50 HP. Good work if you can get 5% off a custom order on a Targa . . .
